If you are calling from a mobile phone then go outside first.
Do NOT smoke, do NOT turn light switches on or off and do NOT do anything to create a spark.
Turn off the supply at the meter. If you do not have to switch on a light to do so, open doors and windows and wait outside for the emergency engineer to arrive.
It is vital that the victim is removed immediately from the contaminated area, placed into the open air and given pure oxygen, if available. Victims should be kept at rest, avoiding exertion. You need to call for medical help urgently.

Gas Safety Advice from your CORGI Registered Installer.
Have you had your gas appliances safety checked this year?
As a CORGI registered business we can provide an annual safety check of your gas appliances as recommended by CORGI, the UKs gas safety watchdog.
Appliances that are properly installed, serviced and adequately ventilated are efficient and safe. If your appliances are not safety checked regularly and there is a problem, there may be a risk of carbon monoxide (CO) being produced.
Carbon monoxide, also known as the silent killer, is a highly poisonous gas which can infiltrate your home through the most
apparently harmless devices, like your boiler or cooker. It is impossible to see or smell. An annual safety check is one of the best ways to protect yourself and your family from the risks.
